Shaker Style & Callacutta Invictus Quartz by Anscombs

This shaker style kitchen takes advantage of the natural light from the window and bifold doors to create a bright and airy atmosphere. The white Blanco siligranit 1 and a half bowl sink was strategically placed beneath the window to brighten the area. Draining grooves in the Artscut Callacutta Invictus statement quartz worktop make washing up and drying even more convenient. The Perrin & Rowe Polaris 3-in-1 instant hot water tap in polished nickel with separate rinse is a stylish yet functional choice, as the  separate rinse means all corners of the sink can be easily rinsed.

The units create a neutral colour scheme, and hide a Neff N50 integrated dishwasher with 6 programmes to ensure the timing and temperature of each wash are suited to whatever is needed,  while remaining obscured so the look of the shaker style kitchen is not interrupted. The dishwasher also has an infolight, which means that it is easy to tell if the dishwasher is running, as the 48db running noise means it is on the quieter side of dishwasher ranges. A bifold dresser unit disguises a set of shelves for storage, and an extra area of worktop space which can be used for a breakfast area, or as a space to keep worktop clutter out of the way, such as a toaster, as they can be easily plugged in thanks to the strategically placed wall socket.

Both ovens are stacked vertically and are in the Neff N70 range, which is one of the more advanced ranges, while not going too overboard for everyday cooking requirements. The oven below is a pyrolytic oven with circotherm, with 12 functions to fulfil all daily cooking needs, plus some extra! The one above is a compact oven with microwave, to remove the need for a countertop microwave (reducing unnecessary clutter and saving precious worktop space), whilst maintaining full functionality of an oven with 6 functions. This can also save on energy as it is a smaller oven so is perfect for cooking smaller meals more efficiently. These are placed along the same wall of units as a Neff N70 USA style fridge-freezer with FreshSafe food preservation, and plumbed for ice and water with water filter, alongside many other features to ensure food stays as fresh as possible for as long as possible, and with plenty of room.

The island in the centre of this L-shaped kitchen has units in a contrasting blue-grey colour. This  causes it to stand out, and create a central focus for the kitchen. It has an overhang for a seating area. It also has a Neff N70 80cm venting induction hob, which eliminates the need for an overhead extractor fan, which helps the space to feel less crowded and more open. The open-plan room  means the kitchen area and dining area are close together, while an elegant change in colour scheme creates a subtle separation. The dining table is a darker wood, but at the opposite end of the room to the kitchen is another wall of units, which creates a convenient drinks preparation area, or an area which can be used to serve food directly next to the table. This design also creates a sense of cohesion between the whole room, as it almost seems as if the kitchen is mirrored.
